Why do you need a Will?

by Keith Preston on February 26, 2010

In this video I provide at least one answer to the question “Why do you need a Will?” Of course there are many benefits to having a Will. Actually, I can’t think of even one reason NOT to have a Will.

Essentially, the answer to the question is that you can either decide how your property is going to be distributed yourself and incorporate those decisions into a Will or you can choose to not make a Will and the government will decide for you to whom and in what manner your property will be distributed through the laws of intestate succession.

I can’t think of even one instance where it is better to let the government make a decision for you when you have the option to make that decsion for yourself. If you have not made a Will, you need to make one.

If you don’t have a lawyer I would be glad to assist you in making one if you reside in Alabama or Florida where I am licensed. Call or email and I would be glad to discuss this issue with you.

Thanks for reading and watching.
